Court Fee Remittance System - Free Training

The West Virginia State Code gives the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office (WVSTO) the authority and responsibility to collect and allocate fines and fees on a monthly basis from all municipal courts, county circuit courts, county clerks, magistrate courts, and county Sheriff's offices located within the state.

Currently, this process is completed manually by each court, county clerk and county Sheriff’s office.  The monthly remittance includes the corresponding court’s form along with payment via check or ACH. In order to simplify your remittance process and to create efficiencies, the Treasurer’s Office has developed a new online remittance system which will replace the current paper submission process. All payments made through the online system will be made via ACH transactions. As of that date, it will be the required method of payment for all court fee remittances to the WVSTO.

To help with this transition, the Treasurer’s Office will be offering a free training session for this new online system on Thursday, May 2 at 1:30 p.m. We anticipate the training will last approximately 2 hours; however, it may go slightly longer as we want to allow plenty of time for participants’ questions and answers. At the training, you will be supplied with the user-guide and step-by-step instructions on your submission process.
