• Make students aware of the concept, uses and benefits of saving 
• Encourage savings habits and promote planning for future investments
• Combine the resources of government, education and business to offer savings education 
• Provide parents a tool to use in educating their children on financial matters

Bank At School Roles

Financial Institution's Role
• Partner with elementary schools to operate the program
• Establish savings accounts and/or teach savings lessons
• Provide staff to assist with Bank At School activities
• Provide information on financial careers and host student field trips to the financial institution

School's Role
• Partner with a local financial institution
• Teach "savings" lessons and/or schedule regular "savings" activities
• Assign staff and/or recruit parent volunteers to coordinate program 
• Encourage all students and staff to participate

Treasurer's Office Role 
• Provide curriculum and other free educational resources 
• Assist in partnering financial institutions and schools
• Provide training to school and financial institution staff

Student's Role
• Learn about savings, money management and basic financial planning concepts
• Open savings accounts and acquire positive financial habits
• Learn the roles of financial institutions in the community
