Welcome to the 23rd edition of the Training Quarterly! All the classes in the Training Facility are available on a first come first serve basis, free of charge to all state, county and local government employees. In order to register, you must email us to request the class. We will respond with a confirmation email as soon as we determine if there are any vacancies. Pardon our Transition

The training facility is growing, new faces, new equipment, new software and new courses. Because of this growth, the schedule is a bit light this quarter as I try to get all things new in place and organized. The demand for classes has been extremely encouraging and we appreciate the enthusiasm from the participants. However, this quarter will not see the typical “overflow” classes that have been scheduled in the past to accommodate waiting lists for full classes. I hope that July will bring back the full schedule of 2003 and 2007 classes along with all the overflow classes.

MS Office 2007

The complete Office 2007 classes have been pushed back again. Difficulties in acquiring acceptable courseware and some glitches in the computer lab setup are the culprits. This is the last setback. I will definitely, without a single doubt, be offering the full range of 2007 Office classes at every level for all applications. I apologize for the setbacks, but I would much rather make sure everything is of the highest quality in lieu of substandard training classes and materials for our participants.

Upgrade to 2007 Class

The Upgrading to 2007 class will still be available upon request. This class is about 3 hours in length and covers basic navigation in the new interface and highlights some of the new features of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. If you’re thinking about making the jump, this class should provide the information you need to make an informed decision. For more information and possible dates, please contact me.

The registration process has changed ever so slightly. I am no longer taking registration information at my personal address. All registration and class requests need to be sent to training@wvsto.com.
