Electronic Funds Transfer

The Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Division is responsible for receiving electronic payments made to the State as well as sending electronic payments to citizens and vendors of the State. Our office facilitates the electronic transfer of funds to (Direct Deposit) and from (Direct Debit) payee bank accounts via the Federal Reserve’s Automated Clearing House (ACH). This process greatly reduces the expenses and paper involved both in issuing and receiving checks while offering a safe, convenient and reliable method of conducting business with our participants.

If you are interested in sending or receiving electronic payments, please complete one of the forms below or contact the EFT Division.

Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit is safer than mailing checks. It's easier than checks because there is no need to go to the bank or credit union to deposit a check. All payments go straight into a bank account on payment day each month, giving you more control over your money. Plus, direct deposit allows immediate access to funds from virtually anywhere.

With direct deposit:

  • You have one less thing to worry about because it is the safest way for you to receive your money.
  • You have an easier and more convenient way to access your money.
  • You take control over your money and your time because it is predictable and dependable.

Direct Debit

Direct Debit is a simple, safe and speedy way to pay regular bills and other expenses automatically from your bank account. You are notified and agree with the amount to be collected and the date of payment. From then on, the amount will be deducted from your account on a regular basis. The debit can only be the agreed amount. If a change in the amount or collection date is necessary, you must be notified first.
